Products Made with Stainless Steel CNC Machining
303 is the premier free-machining austenitic stainless steel, engineered with sulfur additions to deliver the best machinability in the 300 series. It enables higher cutting speeds, cleaner chip formation, and reduced tool wear, making it ideal for high-volume turned components, fittings, shafts, and fasteners. While its corrosion resistance is slightly lower than 304 due to the sulfur, XHYE’s optimized tooling and process parameters allow us to produce precision parts with excellent surface finish and dimensional stability for applications where machinability and cost-efficiency are priorities alongside moderate corrosion performance.
304 (and 304L) remains the most widely used “18/8” austenitic stainless steel and the industry workhorse for general-purpose corrosion-resistant components. It offers an outstanding combination of corrosion resistance, weldability, formability, and cleanability, making it the default choice for food processing equipment, medical devices, enclosures, architectural elements, and chemical handling parts. At XHYE, we apply refined machining strategies — including sharp carbide tooling with appropriate coatings and controlled engagement — to manage work-hardening and achieve tight tolerances on complex geometries while preserving the material’s inherent hygiene and aesthetic qualities.
316 (and 316L) provides superior corrosion resistance compared to 304, thanks to the addition of molybdenum, which significantly enhances resistance to pitting and crevice corrosion in chloride-rich or acidic environments. It is the material of choice for marine hardware, pharmaceutical equipment, chemical processing valves and pumps, and medical implants or instruments exposed to bodily fluids or aggressive cleaning agents. XHYE’s expertise in stainless steel machining includes tailored coolant strategies and parameter optimization for 316 to maintain surface integrity and achieve the high-quality finishes required in regulated industries, often followed by passivation or electropolishing to maximize long-term performance.
17-4 PH (precipitation-hardening) delivers an exceptional combination of high strength, good corrosion resistance, and relatively good machinability when processed correctly. Machined in the solution-annealed condition and then aged to achieve desired hardness (commonly H900 or H1150), it is widely specified in aerospace structural components, high-load valves, medical devices, and precision instrumentation where both mechanical performance and corrosion resistance are critical. XHYE coordinates machining sequences with subsequent heat treatment, applying advanced 5-axis capabilities and rigorous process controls to produce stable, high-strength parts that meet the demanding specifications of aerospace and medical programs.
420 is a martensitic stainless steel valued for its ability to achieve high hardness and excellent wear resistance through heat treatment. It is commonly used for surgical instruments, cutting tools, valves, pump shafts, and components requiring edge retention or abrasion resistance. XHYE manages the full process — machining in the annealed state followed by heat treatment and finishing — with precise control over dimensions and surface quality to deliver durable, high-performance parts that satisfy the stringent requirements of medical and industrial applications.
